Fiona, was an incredibly caring, patient and professional instructor who was incredibly easy to talk to about any worries or issues I had, she always made sure you were comfortable and was incredibly supportive always making sure I had confidence in... myself and my abilities which I was able to carry over into the test, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better and would 100% recommend!read more

I cannot recommend Fiona enough. From the outset her friendly, patient and approachable manner helped as I suffered with really high anxiety levels learning from…scratch . Fiona went through everything really well and I left lessons feeling capable... and motivated to work on certain areas. She has the perfect professional attitude you want and need from a driving mentor. And she made sure every move was a smooth operation -before passing my test first time! I definitely would love to give 5 stars to my driving instructor. I learnt all the knowledge and skills that are important to drive safely and pass the driving test. She is a strict instructor but always patient with every questions I asked. Well... deserved to be the best instructor in Scotland.read more

A well over due review, after having a bad experience with another instructor I started with Fiona, who from the first lesson put my mind at complete ease. I couldn’t recommend her enough, from giving hand outs to look over at home about... roundabouts, to the constant support over messages and dealing with my random questions at 2am lol, she is one in a million! Fully accommodates your needs and takes everything at your own speed along with having a great laugh along the way. If you are looking for a driving instructor if you are new/had a bad experience you couldn’t find anyone better to go through your driving lesson journey with!read more

I have been learning to drive on and off for around 5 years, I felt COVID had left me feeling as if the end goal wasn’t in reach however I was introduced to Fiona just as she was starting up Select Drivers which was a total flook as I wasn’t... actively looking for an instructor, having taken a year off from driving I was nervous to start up again but as I was getting older I realised I need to just get it done. From the first lesson I could tell Fiona had this way about her that put you completely at ease, she is so gentle and kind, more supportive than simply trying pointing out any flaws, you could tell she genuinely cared about you passing but she also cared about you becoming the best driver possible. Her techniques for memorising certain things are sometimes completely bonkers but I will never forget them! I loved that every lesson was focused on breaking down each topic and reflecting on what went well and what needs to improve. It’s a great way to see exactly how ready you are to go in for the test.
I have had a nightmare trying to actually attend the test itself as it was rescheduled to a Saturday morning which I had to plead my work to attend however Fiona was booked for time off, she however was not giving up with finding a solution and eventually we managed to get me there! I can only imagine how much of her free time she dedicates to her business but that’s only because she cares so much.
I started learning with her last October and less than a year later I can happily say I have passed on my second attempt with only 4 minors! I am absolutely delighted, if you ever need a driving instructor, Fiona is your gal! I’ve had 3 instructors in my driving journey but Fiona was by far my favourite and the best!read more

Covid had put a hold to my driving journey for two years but Fiona was able to help me pick up where I left off and finally get me to that finish line! She is incredibly patient, kind and very attentive - really paying attention to the learning... style of each of her pupils and tailoring each lesson to suit the needs of the individual. I never once felt intimidated nor flustered when making mistakes as I knew Fiona would help me understand what had happened and encourage me to give it another go. I would absolutely reccommend her to anybody looking to learn!read more

Despite being a full license holder, I felt as if I needed to gain more confidence with roundabouts. Fiona from Select Drivers was brilliant in helping with this, putting me at ease and teaching me strategies that I wasn’t familiar with before.
